Cooper was raised with two brothers living in Newtown Pennsylvania: Kathryn Cooper and Grant Cooper. Cooper was a student at Pennington High School. Cooper was an athlete during high school both in her junior and senior year. Boston University offered Cooper a athletic scholarship following a study of her athletic ability. Cooper was graciously accepted the scholarship and played soccer for Boston University's Division-1 female team during her four-year degree. Cooper was cocaptain during the final season of her career. Cooper helped her team win four M.C.T. In all four years Cooper was a Prep-A winner and also the M.C.T. As a sophomore as well as a senior, Cooper earned All-Prep Team and First Team as well as All-Area Team first Team honors. Cooper did not only excel in sports.
